Strawberries

Recently we were able to take the girls and staff from a local foundation to Pim’s family’s strawberry farm to pick strawberries. Her family had planted a lot of strawberry plants under the assumption that there would be a lot of tourists coming through the area they could sell to. This was, in hindsight, a mistake as, due to COVID, there were very few tourists coming through the area. We tried our best to help sell the strawberries to our international community here in Chiang Rai but even that wasn’t enough due to the sheer number of strawberries. So Pim’s family decided to invite the ministry that my parents work with to come and pick strawberries for free, as they would rather give them away than have them go to waste.

The girls and staff thoroughly enjoyed themselves picking strawberries and eating them right there in the field. We, Pim, I and her family, truly enjoyed watching them have so much fun out there.
